Family History
The Family History Group consists of both beginners and experienced researchers. We aim to spend some time at each meeting providing some tuition but also to allow time for everyone to do their own research and/or help with any Family History brick walls members may have.
On occasion PowerPoint is used and handouts are emailed to everyone for them to keep for future reference.
A monthly newsletter is sent to all group members with hints, tips, links to various Family History websites and the latest news from many Family History sources.
We have set up a closed Facebook Group which is only available to members of Ramsey & District u3a Family History Group and it is not visible to anyone outside that group.
Alternatively if you do not use Facebook feel free to email or telephone me to discuss your Family History conundrums or just for a chat.
We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month from 2.00 – 4.00 p.m. at Ramsey Community Centre and charge a fee of £2.50 per meeting to cover the cost of hiring the hall plus refreshments.
We usually have a Summer Picnic in July and hope all members will be able to attend this.
