December 10th: We have our Christmas meeting today at 2.00pm. There will not be a speaker today, instead we have an entertaining afternoon planned with a quiz or two, refreshments and maybe even a mince pie to get us into the festive mood.

December 13th: Today our famous Ramsey U3A Thespians will be performing ’Alice in Fenland’ with two shows at 2.00 & 4.00pm. A not to be missed afternoon of pure joy.

2025

January 14th: Sean Moyses – The Banjo Man- lots of music and stories from classical, jazz and country music. Enjoy a fun afternoon.

February 11th: Graham Short – Micro Artist who has worked with many famous people including royalty. Listen to this talk you maybe amazed.

March 11th: Steve Merrell – Hear the story behind the film Casablanca, understand the film and its actors more. Interesting talk with lots of little known information.

April 8th Dereck Wheeldon – medical detection dogs. Hear their latest work and how they help people with a range of illnesses.

May 13th: Tristan Hobbs – Our speaker today is going to talk to us about continuing to stay fit after 50.

June 10th – We are going to hear a talk on The Bobby Scheme which is a community and police scheme set up locally to give help and advice to people on avoiding scams and how to be aware of potential scams which unfortunately are becoming more common.

July 8th – This months speakers are David and Catherine Wallwork, who will give us a talk on their ongoing work in the David school Sierra Leone and the difference they have made to children’s lives in this country.

September 9th – A fun packed afternoon listening to Martin Orkin who will tell us about the story of Simon and Garfunkel, the iconic duo with lots of interesting and unusual facts about the famous pair.

October 14th – Today our meeting welcomes Stuart Orme, the curator of the Cromwell Museum in Ely. Stuart is going to give us a really interesting talk about the private life of Oliver Cromwell, warts and all. We may know a fair amount about the public life of Cromwell but how much do we know about his private life, let’s find out.

November 11th – Ramsey U3A welcome back by popular demand Tony Harris. Tony has already given us two very enjoyable and highly entertaining afternoons as Henry VIII and as Winston Churchill. This visit will see Tony as Margaret Thatcher, on past experience this should be a lively, informative and enthused insight into one of our former Prime Minsters, be prepared to laugh, laugh and laugh some more.
